How to improve one's taste in visual art?

answers1: Do psychedelic drugs. Seriously your taste in art will
heighten so much and you will feel enlightened once you transcend your
ordinary state of mind.
answers2: For choosing the right colour combination, I think it would
really help to find yourself a colour wheel.
Have a look at this, <a

I think it will really help you.
As for judging the composition of something, you need to look for
balance and points of focus. Where does your eye naturally lead to?
Does the image lead your eye where it is supposed to? Or do we have
vectors leading you off the page and all over the place like a roller
coaster?

The best compositions, in my opinion, are triangular compositions. I
think you should read about compositions, I know it's just wikipedia,
but I find wiki very helpful!! <a

But I don't really agree that a person should have any kind of "art
taste", I think that any one artwork is just as valuable as another. I
do not think Banksy's rats are any less "good" than the Mona Lisa, and
if I like Banksy's rats more then I don't think that means I have "bad
taste" in art. We are simply told what is good art and bad art from
centuries of tradition. So I think that you should go on liking or
disliking whatever type of art you want...but that's just the radical
Postmodernist critic within me speaking...you can ignore that
lol...but I promise it would help to read those links!! :P
lol Garcia...XD
