necessarily not run into those kind of people in visual arts,

Since it's an ongoing problem, maybe bring it up to your counselor
about specifically why your thinking of changing if you haven't
already. It may be possible to nail them for harassment, which could
make it worse if you get higher ups involved. They may make you pay
for it though. <br>

If its important to you stay with it. If you feel as though you could
preform better within another major by all means go to another major,
there's nothing to be ashamed of in that regard. Good luck.

as it makes you happy to do it. The class isn't about having friends,
it's about dancing and having fun dancing, so focus on that only and
you should be fine.
