Oda Mauson: No easier than any other AFSC18% of the Air Force is based overseasSo you have a 18% chanceIf you want to increase your chanceThen volunteer for koreaOr volunteer for a extended long tourhave fun being a load toad !!!!!!!!!!...Show more

Maynard Phoubandith: Many, many years ago when I first entered the USAF, I started out as a Weapons Troop. I actually liked the job, and enjoyed being outside loading aircraft, troubleshooting gun and release systems and all around liked knowing what I did was a direct connection to the mission the pilot would be flying. As a career field it can allow you access to any assignment where we have fighters and bombers. In that regard, if you want to serve overseas... do NOT let them shred you against bombers. We have no overseas bomber bases. Stay with fighters and if at all possible, attached to F-15, F-16, F-22 or the new (sooner or later) F-35. That will get you overseas.Volunteer for Korea as a remote, or Europe long-! tour. It is easier to start out stateside, since you will have to get certified and upgraded in your AFSC, and overseas can be tougher. But it certainly can be done. I enjoyed four years on the flight-line as a "Load Toad", "Bomb Jockey" and "Knuckle Dragger". After I left my enlisted life I always had a soft spot for the guys and girls who set me up fr success. Enjoy your job adn I hope it all goes well. Best of luck to you and thank you for your decision to serve our great country....Show more
