Monica Voltin: My carpet is a deep brown color and we have lots of blue spray paint on it. Windex seems to have lifted some of it. I have heard rubbing alcohol but currently have none to use. Maybe some carpet stain removers that could help? Thanks for suggestions!

Roselee Mczeal: I was washing the outside of my windows the other day and discovered that we had gotten concrete splashed on a couple of our windows when we were putting a rock border around the bottom of the house. I washed the windows with white vinegar and water and of course did not take it off, any idea of what I can use to get it off with? I think I have some hydrochloric acid around here, would that work?

Keven Drumgole: Firstly wet the cement stain. Slowly rub the affected area with the smooth side of a claybrick.This also works perfectly with cement stained toilet bowls.
Carolin Southers: Wet your windows with very soapy ammonia water. Then while they are wet, use a razor blade or a razor knife and scrape it off. Be su! re and keep the windows wet while doing this or you will scratch your windows. My husband and I did construction cleaning for years and this is the method we always used. It really works. Asa Soho: You didn't tell us what it is made from. Wool, I'd take to dry cleaner and show them the spot. Otherwise I agree with Jan, Dawn. Rub it into the stain, let sit and then rinse with white vinegar. Problem is you've been working on the stain and may have set it. Give the detergents a chance. Janeen Perona: Acid may work but try a patch first! There is an acid based product called Cement-Away by a company called Lithofin that works a treat.
Charissa Bichsel: Try scraping it first, with a razor blade. If you don't have a ra! zor scraper, tape over one side of the blade, then push the blade paral! lel to the window, so the edge of the blade gets right under the concrete. It should flake off easily. If it's a large glob of concrete, use a paint scraper to get the worst of it off, then the razor blade for the final bits.
Arlen Decorte: I would use a sharp scraper or spatula, with a little force the blobs will release from the windows surface. If it is looking like its not wanting to move, add some water to soften it a bit.Goodluck !!

Wilmer Skidmore: I do a combination actually. For example, I would not wash shirts and jeans together but they would go in separate loads in cold water. I'd only wash the white underwear and socks in hot water, but I would probably bleach them first. Towels in hot alone, sheets in hot alone. Baby clothes would be washed separately in Dreft. PJs and colored undies could be washed together. Bras separate! ly in cold water on gentle. Oh what a lot of work.
