Herma Ellebrecht: Price
Alexandria Popik: Lower in protein, fat and calories.
Peter Lapoint: Many people consider senior (and even puppy) food a gimmick. If your dog is slowing down later in life you can simply feed less adult instead of buying the more expensive food.It is often lower in calories, fat, and protein and has added glucosamine/ chondriton (but often not in high enough amounts to actually make a difference).
Maurice Breuning: Senior food has less protein(as low as 18% which I hate)and glucosamine. I personally stick to high quality adult food and glucosamine supplements if needed for my 8 year old dog.
Esteban Faggett: Canidae is a wonderful food..and yes your puppy will get all the nutrition she needs from the all life stages, I would, however , steer away from the lamb & rice unless your dog has a specific medical need to be on a lamb diet..I would go with the regular Canidae All Life Stages. Long term use of a lamb based diet can c! ause copper toxicity and taurine deficiencies..it is especially to be avoided with puppies if at all possible. Canidae makes a wonderful dry as well as canned food. Be aware that more often then not most so called puppy foods are nothing more then a gimic by the food comapnies....Show more
Felicitas Phildor: senior dog food has extra glucosamine in it to help stiff joints and muscles.
Carlee Tangaro: senoir food has less fat
